Curling Olympian visit to Borders School

Following their visit to the Border Ice Rink earlier this year, St Joseph’s Primary School, Selkirk (and St Margaret’s Primary, Galashiels) were very excited to welcome Curling Olympian Bruce Mouat, who gave an inspirational presentation on his sporting journey.

Bruce demonstrated some aspects of Curling (as pictured) and talked about his greatest challenges and achievements in Curling. Bruce then led the children in a range of dynamic aerobic exercises. He also answered a wide range of questions from the children about the highs and lows of his personal journey to Olympic level Curling.

We hope to see the inspired children of the school, back on the ice in Kelso, in the near future!
