This competition is usually played in early February and is one of the major open competitions of
the year.
2010 dates 4th & 5th Feb
The semi-finals in the afternoon were both very interesting
games, Robert Forsyth and Balfour Stewart's team exchanging the lead several times during the game with a final score
of 6 -5 for the Yester team. James Stark and John Stevenson had a similar game for the first half but a 5
for Stark at the 6th put the holders 6 up and a 2 at the 7th and last end secured Team Stark's place in the final against
Balfour Stewart's team skipped by Johnny Shedden.
2010 Final:
After a shaky first end by Team Stark with wrong weight and missed brush play they found them
selves trailing against theYester team for the only time in the final and went on for an easy win for the third year
on the trot for James (his teams 4th on the trot).
