If you have been introduced to the game by a curling friend, then you have made the first contact and he/she will have,
we are sure, given you some guidance.
If you are coming to the rink for a "come and try day" as a result of an advert or web notice and you do not know any
curlers, do not worry, we are a friendly bunch.
You will be met at the rink and guided through the normal format of registering your details and instruction on safety
and aims of the sport before you set foot on the ice.
Once on the ice the coaches will guide you through the skills at your own pace. Have no fear, there will
be plenty other beginners at these sessions and many have never stepped on the ice before.
Should you wish to continue and join a club you will be advised of clubs in your area. It is normal to
join a local club to you, but you may want to join another club with a work colleague or friend.
