A FREE trial at Border Ice Rink
6th March 2010"Come and Try Curling" was a project jointly funded by the Royal Caledonian Curling Club and the Border
Curling Development Group.
Curling is a sport that has over the years become very much a sport for all ages.
You just need to look at the Olympics and see the age of many of the teams, including the GB Ladies team skipped by 19 year
old Eve Muirhead. Our come and try day was also a day of all ages from 9 yr old up to a more mature age we will
say!
Over one hundred new curlers came along on the 6th March to the 3.30 and 5.30 pm sessions to have
a go. The coaches and volunteers guided everyone through their first steps to becoming an Olympic
Athlete.
